A new national jobs economic report showcases the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati's (MSDGC) and Greater Cincinnati Water Works' (GCWW) efforts in the rebuilding of America's water infrastructure.
"The National Economic & Labor Impacts of the Water Utility Sector" is a national study conducted by the Water Research Foundation and Water Environment Research Foundation to highlight the critical role water infrastructure projects play in the American economy and the Build America Investment Initiative. Thirty large water, wastewater and stormwater utilities from across the country, including MSD/GCWW, will invest about $233 billion over the next decade and contribute about $524 billion to the economy, supporting 289,000 permanent jobs, according to the study.
