There are many reasons to register your business with MSD. Businesses that register with MSD will receive notices for upcoming bid opportunities, have access to industry specific training, and increase their visibility and potential to join MSD project teams.
MSD is not a certifying agency. MSD accepts Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certifications from MSD-recognized certifying public agencies whose SBE criteria does not exceed MSD's criteria.
Step 1: Register with the City of Cincinnati
All program participants are required to register online with the City of Cincinnati Vendor Self-Service (VSS) system. Vendor registration is required for any business, large or small, interested in doing business with the City of Cincinnati.
Step 2: Register with MSD
Companies certified by an MSD-recognized certifying public agency will need to access the City of Cincinnati's Vendor Compliance and Certification System (VCCS). Through VCCS, companies can register with MSD, obtain certification from the City of Cincinnati Department of Economic Inclusion, and track and report inclusion participation.
Incomplete applications will not be processed, and firms will be notified if additional information is required
Step 3: Confirmation
Once a firm's information is received, reviewed and approved, a confirmation letter will be send to the company representative confirming registration with MSD is complete. The firm's information will be entered into the SBE Database and appear in MSD's Supplier Diversity Directory.
Below is a list of certifying agencies that can assist you with obtaining certification, including Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE). The list is updated as certifying agencies are vetted by MSD.
